Days 22 & 23: Let the Family Vacation Begin

 July 18, 2021

Vanlog, Cedar Lodge, el Portal CA

On Saturday, I drove across the Bay Bridge to SF to pick up the girls at the airport. Flight was on time and I had no trouble finding them. We drove out of the city to Hayward and got some lunch before making the trek to El Portal after getting groceries. We stayed at the Cedar Lodge just outside of Yosemite and had an evening swim before bed.

On Sunday, we got up early and drove into the park along the Tooga Road. Rachel had a rock climbing class at 8:30 at Tuolumne Meadows with instructor Alan and three other students. Jessica and I did a five-mile loop to Dog Lake and then I summited Lembert Dome. Then we watched Rachel climb these pitches.
